❓Marrying a vegetarian partner — should the wedding banquet be all-vegetarian?

There's no standard answer here — it really depends on what the two of you want and who your guests are. A few common approaches worth considering: a fully vegetarian banquet (if you're both committed to it — plenty of hotels can now put together a really refined vegetarian wedding menu, and more of them have experience with it these days); a mixed setup with both meat and vegetarian tables so guests can choose; or a mostly conventional menu with a few specially highlighted, carefully made vegetarian dishes added in, so non-vegetarian guests still feel like real effort went in rather than an afterthought. If you're worried older relatives won't take well to an all-vegetarian banquet, it helps to talk through your thinking and reasoning with both sets of parents beforehand, hear out their concerns, and land on a compromise both sides can accept. That's a completely normal part of wedding planning — no need to hold back on expressing what you want just because you're worried about friction.
